Wines - Ballabriga

 

 

For more than five generations we have been linked to agriculture and livestock breeding, cultivating and working vineyards in the "high Somontano", at over 600 metres, in Adahuesca, the town that the family belongs to. Ballabriga

Already in the early twentieth century Lucas Ballabriga and then José Ballabriga were making a name for themselves, by developing wines that were highly regarded in the region.

In 2000 the Ballabriga family, with José Miguel Ballabriga as its driving force, decided to transform a family tradition into a business which would be an expression respect and admiration for our land.

Bodegas la SierraWith the 2003 harvest marketing of our wines began.  From our area of influence, where we are a winery that is gradually gaining recognition, our goal is to extend our operations to the rest of Spain.

Looking ahead, the challenge is clear: to raise awareness of the essence of Somontano outside our borders, always in a personal way, tailored to our customers’ requirements and our own capacity to deliver, without abandoning our family business philosophy.

Chardonay-Macabeo

Blend:  Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache.

Production: Grapes from Adahuesca estates, at least 9 months in barrel and another 9 in the bottle.

PARRALETA EMOCIÓN 2007

Chardonay-Macabeo

Blend:  100% Parraleta.

Production:  Grapes from the winery estate.  Aged in barrels of French and American oak, with a minimum of 12 months in cask and another 12 in the bottle.

Presentation:
• 75 cl bottle. Natural cork.
• Case of 6 bottles.
• Occasionally drums of 7 units and wooden boxes.
• Christmas editions.
• Pallets of 120 cases in rows of 24.

Temranillo Merlot

Blend:  100% Parraleta.

Production:  Grapes from the winery estate.  Young wine production, only in contact with stainless steel vats.

NUNC CRIANZA 2007

Merlot

Blend:  Merlot, shiraz, grenache,  parraleta and moristel.

Production:  Grapes from our Adahuesca estates our and from the cellar. Production with individual fermentation and aging, both in the barrel and in the bottle for 6 months, with variation in the blend percentages, depending on the years.

• 75 cl bottle. Synthetic cork of VMQ
• Cardboard case of 12 bottles.
• Pallets of 60 cases in rows of 12.

Blend:  Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Alcañón.

Production:  Grapes from the winery estate.  Young wine production, only in contact with stainless steel vats.

 

PETRET TINTO CRIANZA 2007

Cabernet Sauvignon

Blend:  Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Production: Grapes from the Adahuesca vineyards. Aged for 6 months in barrel and 6 in bottle.
